When we arrived at the location Ralph was already waiting for us. He showed us to the pier head part of the experience, which was going to be our base for the night. We left Hettie the team’s medium to gather her thoughts for the night ahead. Ralph then showed the rest of the team around the building because there are some very low beams in the roof structure. While on this little tour he told us some local history, which is why we left Hettie at the pier head. Also Alison and Jules were covering up the bright green exit signs, while doing this Mandy was already investigating, snapping away with her camera. We all gathered back at the pier head, apart from Kelly and Elvis they where arranging where the web cam would go for the live that was planned for that night, also to have one of the Sony handy cams over looking the court yard. The other Sony handy cam was placed looking up the stairs in the Rectory. Kelly used the walkie-talkie to tell us at the pier head to start the investigation because herself and Elvis were having problems setting up the web cam for the evenings live. So Alison and Jules first took some reading to start the night off. Hum 72% Temp 18.4c The time was 10.20pm Alison asked Hettie where would she like to start, which part of the experience was she drawn to; Hettie walked us through the court yards pass Henry the VIII and up the stairs. Jules and Mandy both had a KII metre and we had just got up the stairs when both the metres went of at the same time. Hettie could feel someone standing right beside her. With that Linda said that her leg felt very cold. Hettie then said it was a little girl with us she was about 5 years of age and she plays on the stairs. Then David said that he felt cold around him. Then all of a sudden Linda was shouting what the hell was that, but it turned out to be a bat, but the strange thing about it was that Hettie had just asked for the little girl to do some think and the bat flew out and disappeared just as quick. Kelly and Elvis were still having a few technical problems with the web cam,so the rest of the team decided to go down to the courtyard. Alison and Jules took some more readings and they were Hum 47% Temp 26.7 c We could hear the traffic but it was still very quiet there. Hettie walked towards the other side of the courtyard where a skeleton lay in a glass top coffin, she placed her hands on the top, and said the this man was very sad, because they will not take my body back to where it belongs. “This is Louis,” she said, and you could see on Hettie’s face that she was showing the sadness of this man. By now Kelly and Elvis had joined the Team so we decided to go back in to the Rectory, we ended up where Valentine Grey is climbing up the inside of the chimney, He is a young sweep that had died cleaning out the chimneys. We all sat on the floor and did some calling out but the spirits did not what to talk to us, so after about half an hour we decided to move on to another part of the location.. Kelly was still calling out and some of the others were hearing knocking sounds. Hettie walked over to where Kelly was standing which was at the bottom of the stairs, and asked this spirit if they would come down the stairs to face us, at that point Kelly felt a cob web feeling across her face. Also the knocking was still happening but it all seemed to be happening up the stairs where we had just come from. Hettie then said call him “ Louis”. The knocking seemed to be coming from upstairs so Alison and Mandy went upstairs, we could not hear any knocking, but what Mandy said to me (Alison) I found interesting her words were that she had got the impression that it was her that was stopping the spirit from coming down the stairs. And moments after Mandy saying this the knockings were getting louder down stairs which then seem to make sense with what Mandy had just said to Alison. While Alison and Mandy was up, Kelly asked Jules, Tracy, Chris and Linda, to go down the next set of steps, so there was some one on each level of the building. We came down to that lower level to hear what Jules and her part of the team had heard while Kelly was calling out up stairs. They all said that they had heard someone dragging a heavy box, chest about 2ft and then footsteps after that. The Team stopped the investigation there, and headed back to the pier head, for a break. While there we all decided that the chamber of horrors would be the next place to investigate. Alison and Jules took some more reading which were. Hum 49% Temp 24.6c The team had a great opportunity to hold some of the original torture Equipment, Linda was holding the Ankle Clamp, and she said that she was a having a tingly feeling in her fingers. One of the equipment was also an axe which they used for chopping off thieves hands and there is blood stains on the blade, we walked around the chamber and we all ended where the whipping wheel is. Kelly and Hettie could feel a draught, then there was a bang, then another cold blast of air, followed by a bang again. Because not everyone could hear the bangs, Alison asked Mandy and Jules to go in the chamber to see if they could hear the knockings or bangs in the chamber. Alison did this to see if the spirit would move closer to Kelly if Mandy were away again. Kelly asked the spirit to copy her; she knocked on the door twice and two faint knocks came back, then the team gathered in a circle to hold hands to build up the energy. We heard several more faint knocks, but we also heard what seem to be a whine or cry. We all heard this twice. Hettie said that this could be a William. But it seem that this William was very distant from us. We all walked back to the pier head to get the spirit board. We then went back through the Rectory to where the chimney sweep is, to use the spirit board. Temp reading was 26.5c On the board were Mandy, Hettie, David, Chris and Jules. The glass started to rock, then move very slow. We asked a few questions, Also Mandy seems to have her finger pushed while on the glass. Could you please tell us the year that you was born-1 The board went really quiet. So we moved down stairs so that the board was now in the crown pub part of the location. On the board were Kelly, Tracy, Chris and David. The glass started to move straight away. Can you centre the glass- Are you male? Are you female? Are you a child? Centre the glass Because Kelly got the impression that the spirit was a lady, she asked David and Chris to leave the board and Tracy joined the board. What is your first name-U S A U A B Is it Sarah- Yes Did you have more children that died at birth-Yes. Kelly left the board and Alison and Linda joined in. When were you born-Goodbye Are you getting tired-Goodbye Linda asked if she wanted to say any thing but it was just spinning gently. Then she started to spin it faster. Alison asked her to copy her, so Alison did a figure of eight with the glass, which she started to copy. Kelly heard some knocking. Then we realized what time it was, so we said good-bye to the spirit, and we packed our equipment up. But Tracy was still taking photos, but she was taking them with out looking through the finder she was not even facing the same way as the camera was pointing. It turns out that she had felt that we was being followed all night, and she was trying to catch them out, and some of the photos on the video, with many orbs were the ones that Tracy took. Great investigating Tracy. Also after the event, Tracy mentioned that while sitting in the circle being very quite, that her cross necklace was touched, but this is great because all the team were holding hands apart from Alison, Jules and Mandy but you can see in the pictures that we were not near the circle, in fact Mandy had her back to the wall in a far corner. I would just like to say thanks for Brading the Experience for having the V.i.P Team their to investigate such lovely builds and court yard, But still much more to investigate so another investigation would be great.
