1.) Gwen, these days people generally met in a bar or on the Internet can you tell us how you and Derek met? 2.) What do you do with your time when Derek is on tour ? 3.) I can tell that you are an animal lover, can you tell us how many pets you have and whether or not you think our pets choose us as friends. 4.) Most people only see what they want to see in this life and generally follow the masses, can you tell us how Yourself and Derek were affected when others slandered his good name and abilities. 5.) Have you ever appeared on television, if so what did you think of your experience? 6.) I'm a part skeptic and like to see things with my own eyes which is rather annoying for the rest of the team even though I know they understand my logic behind my thoughts. Did you believe in the paranormal in the first instance or has anything happened in your life that makes you question life after death? 7.) Like with most women we always feel like we are constantly talking to ourselves when it comes to our partners, do you ever get days like this? 8.) In the paranormal field we find that other groups have issues regarding other groups intentions ect . .There always seem to be a constant battle of whats mine is mine mentality, which frankly we find childish. Do you and Derek have this problem with other mediums or others of the same Field and how do you both deal with this? 9.) If you could bring 6 guest to dinner, 3 fictional and 3 living or passed, who would you choose and why.

Derek and I had known each other for quite a while on a "bumping in to one another" basis on the Liverpool social scene. We gradually became friends and it grew from there. When I'm at home on my own I have all the normal household things to do and walking the dogs, but mainly my time is taken up with looking after the administration side of Derek's work. I also do a lot of writing. Derek and I share our lives with Jack, who is a Standard Poodle, and Penny, a German Shepherd. We also have a cat named Mindy who is 22 years old now. I think that in some cases our pets do choose us to be with, but in other cases we are drawn to a particular animal who in some way will enhance our lives. I don't think that people/pet relationships just happen. Derek has an unswerving and unassailable belief in mediumship. For myself, I have witnessed too much to even bring in to question the fact that mediumship exists and that Derek is one of the world's best. Once Derek had achieved a level of being recognised as a leading medium in the UK, we very quickly became aware that not all people were as spiritual as we would wish them to be. This manifested itself in various ways but chiefly in attempts to call Derek's gifts in to question. The basis behind this, I believe to be jealousy of his popularity. How did we deal with it? We both relied on our firm conviction that "truth will out" eventually and that karma would take care of the people who hurt us. I am not saying that it is an easy thing to deal with - it isn't. I have appeared in the background on certain programmes, but hate seeing myself on television. I have never ever believed that there is not another life after this one. I cannot think of a time when I did not have this belief. As far as the paranormal was concerned, although I'd heard of "ghosts" I didn't really think anything beyond scarey tales told around the fireside. It was only after I met Derek that I began to really look in to the situation. Of course! I'm a normal woman with a normal man as a husband. I have often wondered how the people who claim to be MOST spiritual, can be the LEAST spiritual to one another. I am often amazed at the rivalry that exists. I am happy to say that Derek is not one of those people and gets on very well with the mediums he comes in to contact with, i.e. Colin Fry, Ian Lawman, etc. There are so many people, but when asked... you wonder who. I think I would like to have a long conversation with Henry VIII - a fascinating historical figure. My next person would be Billy Connolly - I admire his wit and cleverness but recognise a deeply caring person. I think my third person would be John Blashford-Snell, the explorer. I would love to talk to him about his experiences. Fictional figures are very difficult because I'm a realist and so would have great difficulty in thinking that such a figure would be capable of holding a conversation with me. I'm more likely to want to meet the creator of a fictional figure, so I'm afraid I'd have to pass on that one.
