Hare & Hounds 2009

3rd of October 2009 The Team and a few close friends arrived at the Hare and Hounds, Alison did go for a little walk about to find some last minute details of the building. Alison noticed that the old part of the building was draped in history of one man that is well known to the Isle of Wight. So Alison called Kelly and we both agreed that Hettie the medium should not go down there until lights out. We returned to the team, to let every one know that Hettie was not to venture down the other end until the investigation was to begin. Kelly was down the far end just snapping away with her camera when she saw a feather like orb float in front of her. So Kelly decided to set the barrier beams up, where she had seen the orb. Then Elvis and Kelly set up the Sony handy cam in the attic, which could be locked off quite easily. Then the investigation began, the first reading of the night was taken. Hum 64% Temp 19.8c This was taken near the door, so we moved further in to the building and took another reading to double check. Hum 63% Temp 20c And the time was 10.25pm. Hettie walked us through the entire bar and we ended up in the small seating room that leads in from the gardens. As the night had only just started we all sat on the floor and held hands to see if we could build up some energy. Kelly did say that if any one was feeling any thing to speak out. Linda said that she still had a sore throat, Mandy was getting a very heavy feeling on her shoulders. Alison had Clare’s hand in her palm but it felt as if Alison was holding a piece of lead. Hettie said there is a man that walks the bar, he never stops moving, just up and down. The team moved in to the main bar area and Mandy said to Hettie you know that if I get that feeling I should just go with it hettie said yeah just go with it. With that Mandy said I’ll get him, I’ll get him. She said I am asking who and why she said they took my loot. Who took you loot? I’ll get that Thomas. Then Mandy said it is Thomas Pr but can’t get the rest. Hettie got up to move somewhere different and she waved her finger and said he is the guilty one. Also that Fred he is a highway man. The Team gathered back in the newer part of the building, Alison took more readings. Hum 60% Temp 20.4c and the time was 11.15pm. We all sat around in the room while Hettie started to call out. Hettie then said that some one has just run through the building. She then asked this Fred if he would make some sort of noise, and we all heard a very faint knock. Then Kelly who was sitting right in the far corner, said that she could sense that someone was close by and she also could hear a faint noise near her ear, then Kelly started to call out. Hettie said don’t stand in the shadows, with that the barrier beam went off. For the barrier beam to go off someone or thing has to pass through it, noone was near it, also which is even better there was a Sony handy cam filming the beams, which is great as it recorded them going off. BREAK We began again by taking more readings. Hum58% Temp21.0c The Spirit Board On the board was Chris, Mandy, Linda, Clare, Hettie and the bar person Charlie. The glass started to move straight away, it was slow to start, but after a few minutes it was moving very well. So we started with the questions. Can you spell your name; J2 K-L OLQ We asked again; yes We was not on the board long, when Linda start to act very weird and her head was getting lower and lower to the board Alison asked if she was ok. Linda started to shout I feel sick, get him out of me, and get me out of here. With that Kelly got Linda out of the circle. The rest around the circle tried to continue. Linda walked back in, she then described what had happened. “I was sitting there and it felt as if some one sat in side me, I then went hot and fell forward, with this very strong man that had taken over my body, I knew it was a man because I felt that he was unshaven”. This man had frightened Linda so much that she started to cry. And her hands were freezing. Readings of Linda’s hands were 27c. and here head temp is 28.8c. She sat back in the circle but not on the board. The question began again. Do you speak English? Yes Did you touch me for a reason (Linda)? Yes Can you touch me again? Yes Promise you will not hurt me again? Yes How old are you? 0 Why did you make Linda cry? L N K L N Why did you choose Linda? Yes Is it because she is weak? Yes Please can you centre the glass? Did you strangle some one? Yes Do you have a wife? Yes Did she die before you? Yes Did you work around here? Are you a smuggler? Yes The glass was moving back and forward. Tell me (Linda) what you wanted with me? Yes Glass then started to go round and around. Centre the glass. Elvis was in the attic and he walkie talkied down to say that they were hearing banging and knocks then the other attic door lifted about 3-4 inches to make a huge bang, Elvis and Clare was not near the attic door and Lee was under the attic door so he heard this huge bang too. The glasswork continued with many more questions about why he had affected Linda. She had a really nasty smell up her nose, she also tried to get him to walk through the barrier beams. But one of the last things Linda asked him to do was to remove this nasty smell, which he did, just as quickly as it came. We then had a quick break, as Linda was very tired. Then after the break Alison moved the spirit board down the other end of the room. On the board were Alison, Kelly, Linda and Hettie. This glass movement was so much gentler. You will have to watch the footage as Alison who normally writes it down was on the board, But it seemed to be a young man that had an accident on the junction of the Hare and Hounds. He lived in Godshill, and he or his dad like whiskey. The board was great. While we was on the board Lee and Dave went it the attic to take some photo’s and Elvis Mandy and Clare went into the cellar to take photo’s down there. Kellys Thought’s. Ok firstly I must add that that this investigation was not free of charge, infact we paid £120 for 4 hours in total. In my opinion I feel this pub has a manifestation haunting, I personally saw a long shaped twisting orb with my own eyes, and at first thought it was smoke but as you all know you cant smoke in Pubs! We all saw shadows moving in the darker areas and some of us heard footsteps and whispers. However what got me the most was the fact that it set of the barrier beams and this was caught on camera! The best part of the night was the contact made with the young man whom had died outside the pub, he was very excited to be talking with us and the spirit board communication was perfect. All in all a good night for the team but one that we need no further re-visits for.
