Hartlands Hotel 2010

We arrived at the hotel, the night was chilly and there was a slight wind. We all met Sarah the manger of the hotel and were given permission to all areas apart from four bedrooms, which are in use by live in staff.

Elvis had set up a night vision cam at the top of the stairs as there is meant to be a spirit that comes down 4 steps looks over the banister then walks back up the stairs as if they are checking things are ok downstairs. We are using room 14 as a base room so Alison took some readings while the rest of the team were still sorting out.

Then we were ready to begin our investigation into the hotel. So we all made our way down to the dining room. Hettie said that she had been told the name Peter, also she had seen an orb floating across her while in this area.

Linda said that she was picking up on a lady with the name Dora. And she could see that her hair had just had a blue rinse this is how Linda described it, and she could see that she was in the lower part of the dining room looking out of the window,waiting, not sure what she was waiting for. While Linda was telling me this, Jules and Mandy were placing some trigger objects around the hotel.

Trigger objects left:

Yellow rose in the lower dining area. Also left in the lower dining area some sweets.

In the corridor near the swimming pool they placed a bangle with some small plastic footballs in the ring of the bangle. This was to see if any of the spirits in the hotel could move them out of the ring of the bangle.

Hettie then said that there was some untimely secrets kept here, also she came out with the grand master.

 The team decided to start the night with the spirit board, to see what energy is in the hotel. Alison took some readings before they started on the board.

On the board are Mandy, Kelly, Hettie and Elvis. And Jules was holding the KII Metre.

Could you please move the glass for a sign that you are here? The question was asked again and the glass moved a little.

Linda said that “I don’t feel right, something happened here; don’t feel right I should not be here.”

Can you tell us whom you are- Mandy said that she felt like some thing was trying to push her finger of the glass!

Linda came off the board because she felt on edge. Alison went on the board.

Are you still with us-

Hettie said that she could feel a man near the main door into the dining area. This man was stocky in build and well dressed, in a suit, and he has a sash around his waist.

Linda advised us that the name of the lady in the window was Dora Whittenham?

Well the spirit board did not have much more activity, some times it moved, and when answering questions it just came back with random letters that did not make any sense to the team.

But can I please add at this point that even though the energy on the board was not very high the energy of the team was very high.

Break Time

The Team decided to split it three groups, so each group had a walkie-talkie, just in case we needed some of the other team members.

Jules and Mandy went and investigated the swimming pool area and near by corridors.

Alison and Linda investigated some of the first floor bedrooms. While Kelly, Elvis and Hettie went to the dining area and then into the other bar/children’s room.

Alison and Linda was in room 11, Alison took some readings which were

They both saw a small flashing light on the ceiling; it was not cars as they were at the back of the house. Which backs onto a garden. Also they felt tired in this room. Alison called for Elvis to come up with the Sony handy cam to see if he could catch the flashes that we were seeing. Elvis then joined back up with Kelly and Hettie while Alison and Linda went into room 24. Alison took some readings of this room.

All the team met back at the base room. And none of the other team members felt or heard any thing else where they were investigating.

So even though the two mediums sensed that there was some spirit activity in the building they did not what to come forward on the night V.I.P team spent at Hartland Hotel.

Kelly’s thought’s:

I believe that the hotel holds residual energy in the most part,the staff do not report things moving or any other feelings of worry. There is not much history into this building that our research could locate. Therefore my conclusion is that this building is not haunted by resident spirits but holds residual energy from past occupiers & maybe guests.
