Priory Manor Hotel 09

Date 21st March 2009-04-01 Base Test Investigation: Upon our arrival it was noted that the front porch lights were left on for our benefit so we could see where we were walking, also in the older part of the building the private bedroom light was left on. Looking through the window it was noted it was a bedside lamp and the room was unoccupied. Upon entering it was noticeable that this building suffered through the winter months with the cold and every effort is made in the side wing to keep this to a minimum. However according to the owner it is due to be demolished soon. In our eyes this is a shame, this part of the building does not reveal what it holds till late into the night. We all gathered in the bar area, Heather, Judith & Mandy took a stroll about the building whilst we set up our equipment. On this particular night we had an extra special guest who really wanted to join us. Sam, our 12 yr old ghost buster, to be fair I know what some of you might think about this but his parent accompanied him all night (also a team member) and it was not intended to become such a brilliant experiment. You see Sam is an awesome kid; he tries the call outs and loves to wonder in the dark. . Braver than some in this field. Took very well to the walkie talkies also, he was well chuffed with that. When Heather & Judith returned we decided to head to the part of the building we first came in, once there we conducted 10 minute Vigils in each room apart from the locked room. Our medium Heather felt very strong energies here but was unable to get them to come forward at this time. We asked for signs such as noise, taps & bangs or to interfere with the lights or any electrics. Every room has a TV although all were unplugged from the wall we all thought it would be ace if they came on by themselves. One thing we did notice was that they must have problems with the alarm clocks as some were flashing as if to indicate that they had been switched off and then back on!! ! This was very interesting but this never happened whilst we were there. We headed to the main staircase and had our team shots taken, whilst there we all heard what seemed to be someone sighing or crying. We did some call outs but nothing else happened. We headed to the dining room, now this place holds the most interesting phenomena for us as investigators. Firstly we had temp fluctuations and it started at 41.2 down to 21.2 in a matter of seconds it was truly amazing. This happened all night long and when we asked for it to heat up the air it did it was excellent. We also conducted a truly extraordinary glass divination session, it was like the glass was on air it just floated across the table with ease, off course all the team took turns taking of their finger but still it flitted across the table to our questions. We worked out it was a female who felt as if she owned the house, her first initial was L and her last name was Henry. Now we don’t do history before we attend our base test night, so apart from me and Mandy who had been before with an older team from long ago no-one else knew anything about this place. But Henry was the Surname of the owner whom built this place. We spent a good Hour in there talking with this lady who was answering most questions with a yes or no answer, we can’t reveal to much of what she said as we are hoping to go back there with a very important team in the future. Break Time – Pot Noodles yippee We then went to the stairs, some of us were taking photos and filming when Heather and Judith decided to enter room 4, as they came out to tell us what they felt in there the door shut behind them. Now all the doors were left on the latch for us, and I mean all the doors were the same. But when we tried to open it to all take a peek it was locked. The latch had actually been pushed down!! ! Gutted ! ! ! !Heather said she felt very depressed in that room and Judith also felt that there was a presence in there that was unhappy, so unhappy they shut us out????? We continued to do a glass divination right there next to room 4; whatever was there was making the glass tip from side to side. It would not move it just tipped from side to side. We tried for half an hour with no success to get this spirit to talk to us. Time for Break. During this break Sam and Richard left, due to Sam becoming tired. No sooner had Sam left it was all quiet, it was as if Sam took all the energy with him. We can only conclude that whatever followed us about that night had an emotional attachment to Sam/Children. We stayed for another hour, caught some orbs on camera but no more noises or bangs. So we concluded our base test investigation with average temp being 42.2 and the lowest being 39.9. Was not a cold night by any means and we thoroughly checked the building for draughts that could make the temp drop the way it did, but nothing was evident. We look forward to re-entering when their season is closed and look forward to a very special Team joining us for this exciting night where we hope their medium can pick up on what’s hiding in room 4. Upon leaving it was noted that the light which had been on in the locked bedroom had been turned off. We pressumed it was on a timer but later the next day, upon returning the keys, we were told that the light was infact not on timer but it appeared had been switched off. The owner showed us the lamp that had a fully working bulb and was not on any timer atall ??? Spooky! ! ! !
