Ryde Castle Hotel 09

We were shown to the Ryde Room when we first arrived at Ryde castle, Isle of Wight. We used this room as our base for the evening. Humidity of the room was 49 Temperature of the room was 74.8 f Before the investigation was to begin Elvis and Kai set of to various rooms to set up Camera’s and trigger objects. Whilst doing this they made sure all curtains were closed and any light sources were noted. Places to set up Equipment . . . Locked off camera in Cellar. Trigger Object of a Soldier in Room 10 Trigger Object of a Soldier in Room 9 (Double Room). Wig placed upon knights shoulders in Cellar also We then split into two groups. Group one Kelly Metcalf Keith Thompson Alison Lown Richard Louise Smith Chrissie Group Two Heather Savage Judith Smith Chris Lown (Elvis) Mandy French Kai Brown Group two went into Room 9 first, which was led by Heather and Judith, and Elvis behind the camera. Mandy and Kai investigating, While Group one went into room 10. Room 10 Temps Recorded Hum of the room was 58 Temp of the room was 75.6 f Keith first picked up on a lady that had passed away where the bed stood in the room. She had a very drawn in face and she was small in stature and her age was around 80. Keith also saw a nasty person, he could see that he had a knife in his hand and seem to bare all his teeth, however this chaps refused to leave the bathroom area, Keith tried to talk with him but to no avail. He also picked up on a George, which seem to deal with coal. He also saw a lady aged about 37 wearing a gown and making herself at home, she was going about her evening business and didn’t seem to realise we were there. Keith also picked a man in a sports car with a cap on his head, acted like lord of the manor. Now this I found interesting, because Ryde Castle was rocking throughout the summer of 1963 and life was very different in the days before rock "n" roll. Teddy Hoar, owner of the Ryde Castle, would drive his Cadillac along the front of his hotel. Well each group had spent half an hour in each room, so it was time to change rooms. as we was passing through the corridors, Keith saw a man of the cloth but high up in the church, also with this man was another man of the cloth but he was not so high in the church he was wearing black with a white dog collar. Group one Investigate room 9 When we first walked into the room Keith made a comment that he was walking on cobbles? He then saw someone dragging a body through the room; he sensed that the body being dragged was dead. The man was carrying a sword, and with a large hat on with a feather sticking out from the top, also he seem to be showing a coin purse, (Dated 16 hundreds) Keith noted also a bible and an organ were once used in this room. Also he picked up on a very nice little girl aged around 14 whom loves to be near the stairs. As I said above room 9 was split into two parts the bedroom area and lounge. Alison, Lou and Chrissie was first in the lounge when we heard Richard saying to Kelly come and watch this, we was all wondering what they were looking at so we all went in to see. Well it was amazing what WE all saw. We saw flashes of lights that moved around the ceiling, they were never in the same place, (which showed us that it was not passing cars), This ORB show lasted for a good 10 - 15 mins. Keith our medium said that this was the 14 year old girl. If you look at the Ryde footage, we managed to catch one of the orbs on tape. We were so fascinated by this that we totally forgot to switch in the camera’s, you honestly had to be there to see it but I can assure you we checked all areas to ensure this was not passing cars! We decided to contact the other team via Walkie Talkie to get them to all come see what we was seeing. They were totally blown away also, although by this point whatever was making those lights for us was getting tired and they only came infrequently. SPIRIT BOARD Judith, Lou, Heather and Chris Had a go at the spirit board first, we got the feeling through the board that it was the little girl that was showing herself through Lights. Then Kelly, Judith, Mandy and Lou sat around the table, Keith asked her if her name was Louise and she replied by taking the glass to the Y. Please look at the footage for the rest of the spirit board. Team Moved to Room 14 Chris, Mandy, Heather & Chrissie took first shift on the spirit board here, now for some reason the spirit we had contacted decided to use the letter Y as his answer for Yes instead of the actual Yes on the board. Here is some of the question’s we asked that we got any sensible answers... Connection with roses.................. Y Male or female................................. hello Male............................................... Y A lord.............................................. Y Is there a lady here with a baby..... Y Is the lady crying........................... ..Y Is the lady crying because of you... Y Have you committed a crime............ Y Do you mean us harm.......................... Y Can I point out at this time Kelly felt very anxious and kept pacing the floor which is very out of character for her; she left the room for a moment to see if she could shake the feeling. Whilst she was out of the room Keith cleared the spirit away as he felt it had ill-intentions towards the team. No further investigation could therefore be carried out much to the team’s disappointment. Therefore new rule has been applied that no clearings to be done without permission from owners or until any investigation has been completed. The team went down stairs to check out one more room, which was the main function room, where Keith kept on seeing three coffins, and one of them had The Three Roses engraved on the top. Kelly, Keith, Chris, Heather, Lou and Richard, took to the spirit board, even though the glass was moving, we could not make any sense of what was being said... And that was where we finished our investigation of Ryde Castle. History wise, I had found many facts about Ryde castle, however apart from the male with a flashy car that I mentioned earlier we found nothing within the Castle connected to any of the history I researched. Kelly’s Conclusion of the Evening. . I felt totally at ease in the Castle’s bedrooms and would say that I personally would feel happy to sleep here at any-time. Is the Castle Haunted???? Apart from the light show I personally witnessed and tried to de-bunk (believe me I tried) I’m not totally convinced!!!! Although I totally respect the Teams Mediums I cannot see or feel what they do and therefore I am totally dependent on my eyes, and I couldn’t see anything or feel anything they could. So a further investigation is set for end of season for this Hotel, I would like to concentrate my time in the Cellar!!!!
